Traveling in this direction, be aware that the Thai border closes at 17:00. If your journey is delayed any later than 16:45, you have to stay one night in Koh Kong. If you cross the border before 17:00, it is possible to reach Bangkok the same night(Very late), the alternative is to stay a night in Trat, a pleasant town with good day/night markets.
