Tingene ændrer sig jo hurtigt, specielt priserne er steget betragteligt, men da jeg var i Yangon for nogle år siden, okay år 2009, boede jeg her:

Ikke luksus hotel, men helt okay, rart, rent og perfekt beliggende hvis man ønsker at bo downtown og mærke byens puls.
Prisen var også rimelig i forhold hvad jeg eller skulle betale.
Jeg købte hotel og fik ordnet visa gennem et rejsebureau i Myanmar som hedder Magado Travel.
Jeg skulle ikke på nogen ambassade, men de ordnede det hele via en "visa form" og scannet billede.
Alt kan have ændret sig, så derfor vil det jo være dejligt med up-to-date beretninger. men her er noget udpluk af vores mails:

One of my representative will come and process your visa at Yangon airport on 26th Feb TG303. We will collect the visa fees US$ 60 by cash. I've booked the Central Hotel for the night of 26th.
Kindly let me know how many days would you like to stay there?
Kindly noted that we will not accept old, torn and stain US$ bills.
