Two people were injured in five separate bomb attacks in Narathiwat’s Muang, Rangae and Bacho districts on Tuesday morning, Narathiwat police said.
The first bomb went off at an ATM booth of Krungthai Bank in Muang district, injuring one person.
The second bomb exploded at a Government Savings Bank ATM in Muang district, causing no injuries.
The third bomb was planted under a flowerpot in front of a salon in Muang district, no one was hurt.
The fourth bomb exploded at a Government Savings Bank ATM in tambon Tanyongmas of Rangae district, injuring one person.
The fifth bomb went off on a local road in Bacho district as soldiers providing security for teachers were passing, but caused no injuries.
Police also found two more bombs at the ATM booths of Krungthai Bank and the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Tanyongmas branches. They were being defused.
