The Mall, Korat Bomb Threat

The Mall, Korat, indicated that it received a telephone call sometime after 13:00 hrs., on 4 January 2007. The caller was reported to have stated that there was a bomb placed in the Mall, and that it would explode at 15:00 hrs.
No bomb was found and no explosion took place. No shoppers were warned, either. According to local TV media, issuing such a warning would have created havoc.
On the basis of the above, we sent the following email to The Mall, Korat today, January 5, 2007, to determine what guidelines the Mall management uses in determining whether to warn shoppers or not when such situations develop. We are waiting for a reply.

Yesterday The Mall, Korat was reported to have disclosed that a bomb hoax had occured - that at around 13:00 hrs., a telephone caller indicated that a bomb had been placed in the Malll and would explode at 15:00. No bomb was found, and no explosion occured. It was also reported that The Mall management had decided not to notify shoppers as that it would create havoc. Could you kindly advise as to the reason there was no warning - or if there was a warning? Also, what are the Mall's guidelines in such cases, so as to protect shoppers? We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience in this matter, so as to nontify our readers who also shop at The Mall, Korat.
