Pyton wife

Pyton wife, amazing Thailand
Mr Satien enjoys his free time during honeymoon with the love of his life.

It was just the issue of the day when we saw this news and learnt about this story of "python bride".

By the time I am writing this, she has become a python wife ( เมียงู ) of Mr Satien Kankudlung from Udon Thani province.

Okay, here is a bit of background I read from Khao Sod newspaper. Mr Satien found the python in the swamp and after she 'followed' him home, he released her the next day. She always hugged her and didn't want to stay away from him. She always kept coming back to him and hugged him whenever they around the swamp.

Later the man's aunt seek an opinion from a respected spiritual figure of mooban and he said the python was the love of his life for 600 years ago and she followed her to this life. Mr Satien was advised to marry her immediately otherwise people may start dying because of this 'sacred' python.

Mr Satien's aunt was not hesitant to hold a wedding party. There is a dowry too. Over 200 people came and joined the wedding. At the wedding, the python never left the man and always hugged around him.

Amazing story in many ways.

Here in our blogsite, I just want to share this weird news and hey, I want to avoid touching upon the belief of those villagers. So they believe what they believe and I respect them.

We were gossiping in the newsroom. It was a fun topic to talk about. Not every day that we found this kind of thing. You know it has been quite boring talking economics and politics lately.

Here are some notions that I can recall from Friday....

"You know, some women may envy this snake. He loves her so much and always kisses her and cleans her," said one male colleague.

Another male colleague said he didn't question the man who wants to marry the python, "but those villagers who come and join the wedding, they may be out of their mind," another man said.

We all exchanged some views and this weird story really raises lots of questions.

- How long they would live together?

- What the python wife would do when the man goes to work? (She just can't clean the house or cook for him, can she?)

- What happen if Mr Satien has a human wife or a gig?

Anyway, I agree with my male colleague who has the last word,

He said you should tell the guy: "Just don't let her go hungry."

Urgent! Runaway bride_ Python wife has gone....
So it is such a short married life for the odd couple.

Just heard the latest report about Mr. Satien's python wife: She has crawled away, and the cage -their love nest - where the couple spent the nights together has been empty.

The villagers said that the python fled once but Mr. Satien managed to get it back.

What introduced by Mr. Satien as his soul mate of over 600 years back turned out to be a cruel reptile as people kept visiting her to get lucky numbers.

She was recently seen as a fierce python as she often tried to attack the visitors to relieve her frustrations.

My guess is that she may want to be just an ordinary python. Who knows?

Fortunately, she decided to leave without hurting anyone or trying to swallow her hubby.

If she could speak, perhaps she would have shouted: "Leave me alone, humans!"

Not many guys can claim to have had such a curvaceous creature in the sack!

UDON THANI: The peculiar story of a man who married a python said to be a 600-year-old spirit from his past has taken yet another bizarre twist.

Satien Kenkudlung’s python wife (pictured, right, with her husband) slithered away last week, after a short marriage. The volume of curious visitors has dried up, but K. Satien has kept the interest of the public sated with the discovery of an egg, supposedly laid by his now-departed wife.

K. Satien hit the headlines in early April when his marriage ceremony to the python was publicized. It was said the snake had been his soul mate for six centuries.

The egg development seems “well planned”, said Udon Thani Governor Supoj Laowansiri. Gov Supoj suspects the snake was hidden when the “charlatans” heard experts were on the way. He suspects a “grand return” at some stage, too. If the snake comes back by the end of the month, the governor and his subordinates will be ready to pounce.

Experts have debunked a theory that the egg is the fruit of Satien’s union with the snake, as the gestation period for a python is 80 days. The marriage was just a fortnight long. Plus, snakes usually lay a nest of up to 50 eggs. A mother never abandons her eggs.
